Extracts Text provides an in-browser Optical Character Recognition (OCR) interface allowing users to extract text from images, documents, screenshots, and PDFs. All processing is executed locally on your client machine using WebAssembly and Web Workers.

You agree to use Extracts Text only for lawful activities and purposes. You are solely responsible for:

• Possessing the necessary legal rights, permissions, or authorizations to scan, copy, and extract text from any material you process.
• Not using the software in violation of copyright, trademark, patent, or confidentiality agreements.
• Not attempting to interfere with the availability, security, or integrity of the service.

4. Intellectual Property & Open Source Licenses

The design, brand assets, source layout, and visual presentation of Extracts Text are proprietary. The underlying text recognition engine uses Tesseract.js and Tesseract OCR under their respective open-source licenses (Apache 2.0).

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Extracts Text is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Optical character recognition accuracy can vary depending on image resolution, lighting, fonts, handwriting, and language models. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy or fitness for legal, compliance, or medical recordkeeping.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Extracts Text, its contributors, and developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from any errors in extracted text, data loss, or reliance on information processed via the tool.
